Budget Planner: Expenses

Expense tracking, budgets, savings goals, CSV export and an AI coach. This policy covers this app only — each of our apps has its own.

Last updated: 27 August 2026

The short version

Your transactions, budgets and goals are stored on your device. Ad requests and crash reports leave it. One more thing does: if you ask the in-app AI coach a question, a summary of your finances is sent to Google's Gemini API so it can answer.

There is no account and no sign-up. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number to use the app, and there is no developer-run server holding your content.

What we collect

Concretely, here is everything that is handled or sent anywhere.

  • Nothing you type, except for the AI coach. Transactions, budgets, categories and savings goals are stored on your device, inside the app. There is no developer-run server and no cloud sync, so we cannot see them.
  • AI coach questions. When you ask the in-app coach a question, the app sends a summary of your finances — your savings goals, total saved, total budget and total spent — together with your question to Google's Gemini API, which generates the answer. Individual transactions are not uploaded. If you would rather nothing was sent, do not use the AI coach; the rest of the app works without it.
  • Crash reports. If the app crashes, Sentry receives a crash stack trace along with your device model, OS version and app version. Your financial data is not included.
  • Ad requests. Google AdMob receives standard technical data such as device type, coarse region and IP address as part of serving any ad in the free version.
  • Whether Premium is active. Apple or Google tells the app whether your entitlement is active. Adapty is used for subscription analytics; purchases themselves go directly through the store.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for, receive or store any of the following.

  • your name
  • your email address or phone number
  • contacts
  • precise location
  • photos
  • browsing history
  • payment card details
  • bank credentials or bank logins — the app never has any, because every figure is entered or imported by you

There is no account, no sign-up and no login. Everything you create in the app is stored on your device, so we have no way to look at it, and nothing to hand over or sell.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Apple on the App Store or by Google on Google Play. We never receive or store your payment card details — the store only tells the app whether your entitlement is active.

Third-party services

These are the only outside services the app talks to. Each has its own privacy policy.

  • Google Gemini API — Receives your question to the AI coach plus a summary of your finances (savings goals, total saved, total budget, total spent), and returns the answer. Only when you use the coach. Google Gemini API privacy policy.
  • Google AdMob — Receives ad requests, including device type, coarse region and IP address. Google AdMob privacy policy.
  • Sentry — Receives crash stack traces, device model, OS version and app version when the app crashes. Sentry privacy policy.
  • Adapty — Receives subscription events for analytics. It never receives your financial data. Adapty privacy policy.

Your choices and rights

Because your data is on your device, you are the one holding it.

Deleting your data.

  • Uninstalling the app deletes the data it stored on your device.
  • Where the app offers a reset or delete option in its settings, using it clears the data you chose to remove.
  • You can delete individual transactions, budgets and goals inside the app at any time.

Limiting ad tracking.

  • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
  • Android: Settings → Google → Ads.

Asking us anything. You may email support@playtools.top with any privacy question or request — including a request to access or delete data. Since we hold no personal data about you on any server of ours, in most cases the honest answer is that there is nothing on our side to retrieve or erase, and we will tell you so plainly.

Children

Budget Planner is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, email support@playtools.top and we will look into it.

Changes to this policy

If the app changes in a way that affects this policy — a new feature that sends something online, or a service we stop using — we update this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top. The current version is always the one published here.
